How exactly do you trade?

Don't know If you have the game or not so I'll use as little game terms as possible.

You go to the store and give the guy that runs it an item, then you tell him the name of the character it's going to, and the name of the city they live in.

Then he gives you a password based on those three things.

You give the password to the person and they enter it in at their shop and the shopkeeper gives them the item.

And I very much agree with the statement that people who say some video games on ANY console are too kiddy, shoudn't be playing video games at all. They are all kiddy, some more than others.. But only one thing is relevant. ALL ARE BLOODY FUN! (No matter how kiddy.)

PotatoBoy- My pear tree apparently died. (I secretly suspect my roomate, who constantly tells me the game is for ***s while playing CS) I weeped that day.
(What follows is a dramatic recreation of the events of yesterday morning. This is loosly based on real events.)

The sky was cloudy, the sound of rain gently falling on the lush forest of Unreal(my town's name). All the animals had their little umbrellas out, and were wondering why I was up so early. Little did they know, mischeif was in the air. I pulled out my Nintendo parasol, occasionally spinning off the water that easily accumulated on the overcast day. I happily skipped my way towards my grove of fruit trees, which I had begun planting the fateful day I found an axe in stock at Nook's store. Once I arrived, I stood in shock, my eyes looking blankly up and to the left- my pear tree was gone. All went silent. Cube the penguin, whom I had entrusted with the safty of my valueable trees, stood silent, shocked by the EMPTY HOLE IN THE GROUND WHERE MY PEAR TREE HAD ONCE STOOD.
My mind raced. Who could have done this? Was it my roomate, secretly jealous that I played this game? Or was it Nook, angry that I was late on my house payment, trying to send me a message? Or was it Chow, angry from me pushing him around, putting garbage on his lawn, and hitting him with my bug net? Who knows.
Sufficed to say, I have no pears, or Mod Carpeting. However, put me on your AIM or ICQ list- I need some one to play this with me, like to trade and stuff.

Obviously, you must have failed English due to your inability to actually read. If you even so far as read my post entirely, you would see that I never said that I, myself, think that games with kiddie graphics are dumb. And any game can flow well, hell, I have NES games that flow well. I prefer more serious games, but one of my favorite series of all time is Bomberman, which is, to suffice, a more lighthearted game. I personally think it is wrong to hype up a game to look like one thing at a convention, and then COMPLETELY change it to look entirely different in a year. I'm tired of arguing with you people, continue putting words in my mouth if you wish.

So wait- are you refering to the tech demo of Zelda shown a couple years ago that lead everyone to believe a "mature" Zelda was coming out? I don't want to put words in your mouth...
Back to Animal Crossing. I have been fishing all day, and I finally hooked one of those living fossil fish, and assuming there would be more on the way, donated it to the museum. I have yet to catch another one, and I've been fishing for a couple hours now.

That fish is only catchable in the ocean (the beach or on the island if you have a GBA) and only while it's raining.

It's good to donate it, if you want a nice musem to attract more villagers, but they sell for 15,000 bell a piece.

Yeah, I hooked another one today. I have begun growing cherries- when they grow wanna trade?

Sure, I could use a cherry, one of my villagers gave me one, but the tree didn't make it.

I got 2 cherry trees growning in my orchard, with 2 apple trees, and 2 peach trees. My house has been upgraded 3 times- one basement ans 2 larger room upgrades, and I have to pay 400,000 for the last upgrade... I really wish I could catch more of those ancient fish.
