Tom explained this in the Chat. They were going by what HE saw on his screen. I had SEVERAL of those same shots. Don't sweat it. There will be more parties.

The contest was "Spin the Wheel of Death!"

Basically we just type in our screen name as many times a possible. Tom then randomly posts the line "Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and whoever's name is above that line wins.

Dude, what you see on screen is not necessarily and often not what was received first if people type at almost the same time. PBTrivia is a great example of this...

Very frequent to see what you wrote first even though you didn't really write it first... the other guy could have beaten you by a second... your IRC client just didn't get updated fast enough to reflect it. Thing is... what you typed wasn't sent to you by chat server... it's instantaneous. It did not have to wait in line for chat server to acknowledge it.

The order in which other people write their stuff is normally correct even in your screen. What you write is what goes in the wrong order. Someone elses IRC window is usually more accurate that yours with what you typed and when... is in question... because what they see is what the server sent them in the order received.
