UGGG!!! I also hate bugs sooooo much. They scare the crap outa me and creep me out. Especialy bees, bucause ya... I got attacked by yellow jackets while at camp. And pretty much any other kinda bug, but the worse are roaches and spiders. But, this bug that I saw wasn't creeping me out like other bugs, it actualy scared the crap outa me. And that bug that beam posted wasnt it, the body looked pretty much featurless and didnt realy have much of a face.
Anyone who knows anything about bugs or wants to hear a freaky story, read this!!!

actually beam, there's a few more. I hada 4 inch cock raoch looking thing fly up next to my car last summer.. it was a HUGE cock roach if that's what it was..I just don't think they can fly
then we have things called hawk moths. They look like a really colorful moth, but are about 3-4 inches long.. and then JUST last week I had a preying mantis fly up to me that was 5 inches.. I actually messured it from head to wing tip
PS Beam, are you going to CL for paintball this sat?Comment

Infinity,
Was this bug tan and orange in color? If so, it's more than likely a Jerusalem Cricket. They are big and fat and can fly like a normal cricket...plus they are tough as nails and fun to catch. If you live by the Santa Teresa Foothills then you'll have plenty of them around. They can pinch/bite you hard and generally suck as pets but should be ok to be around.

Actualy it was metalic turquoise, like a dragonfly. The weird thing that made it unlike any other bugs, it had no features to the body or head, that I could see, it was just a round thing, it actualy looked like a Dark blue hot dog, that flew.... it was wierd. You smell like dookie... No really though.Comment

Heat- My bro-in-law saw a preying mantis at the skate park this summer. What's up with that? I didn't know they could live in Iowa!
I know about the big game in cl, but I haven't made plans to be there. Are you going? Maybe I can try to get up there.

WEll I see then preying mantises in Missoury all the time, i think during the summer they fly up north a little. I can't imagine they can survive am Iowa winter
Last year I caught about 6 of them on hte side of my grandmpas house just accrost the missoury boarder in Grant city.
Well right now it's about 90% sure I will be there. And about a 20% chance I will actually play. I stripped down the E-mag to have it reanodized. But I can't send it in until I finish blue printing it, so it all depens on how lazy I am and decited to put it back together for a week.
I think 20% change shows how lazy I am
. But if you go I WILL be there!!

Ive seen the EXACT same thing youre describing Infinity. I had just gotten out of the car and i heard this loud buzzing noise on the ground. It was this huge bug. It had no distinguishable body or head. It was a metallic blue/green color. It was about 3 inches across and 4 inches long, and had wings. It was THE stangest thing ive ever seen.Comment
