Major RANT of how my day sucked. DO not read if you like Impys.

Lemme tell you now. If you try to tell me how good Impulses can be. I will personally hunt you down.

Ok, the day started with me, with my Impulse that has a NEW circuit board and a New solenoid. I play one game, envying the trigger on my buddys E-99, the Impulse has a horrid trigger. So I decide to be a fool, and run to the 50 without asking for cover of some sort. I get to the center, and start LAYING paint on the guy ahead. Then I end up getting lit up by 3 people, and shot in the gun, hopper, and the rest of my body. Ok, so that was my fault. But, the vision cover, on off switch and rest of the circuit board are all screwed now. They got shot and broke the on/off switch off the circuit board. It wouldnt be so bad if this didnt happen before. But since it did, I HATE this gun

When I first got it, cost me 20 bucks, and two weeks, to get the circuit board repaired. Then two weeks later, my solenoid decided to STOP working, for no appearant reason. 80 more dollars. Then I ordered a couple parts to fix some other problems with the gun. SP sent me the wrong parts. Overall this gun has COST me more than I can possibly think it is worth. My buddys E-99, and ACI Griffin got shot a few times, didnt break.

Sorry if this doesnt make sense, I have a lot of anger, frustration, and nonsense going in and out of my head. I made my best to make this with out swearing, and not to disrespect AO in any way.

Uh...how'd you get your on/off shot off? Was it an old style? If it was i have NO IDEA how that could've possibly happened....

Unless you consistently shot it like 8 or 9 times in a row at point blank range. It is almost flush with the side of the gun on the old style, and the new style switch is on the BACK of the gun.

Uh, no offence, but for 20 bucks you could've bought a nice blade trigger that rips like no tomorrow....

Plus, they made the trigger pull long for a reason, they didnt want people accidentally misfiring it because the triger was set so short.

I feel for ya with the board and solenoid problems, and yes SP does have some quality control/customer service problems. BUT, from what i read from your post here is what my advice is:

Now, I'm not trying to flame ya, but maybe you should try and get some help with your gun before you call up SP and start yelling. Try searching the internet, the guys at www.e-paintballoutlet.com are certified Imp techs and would love to help ya. Go to the www.pbreview.com impulse forums and there will be tons of people there willing to help.

Did you try cleaning your solenoid, and how could your board have gotten screwed up?! It's on the INSIDE of the gun! I mean, unless you were playing in the rain/dove into a puddle/drilled some large holes in your circuit board tray, there is almost no way you could've screwed it up

Very easy, I got hit from the side, the paintball smashed the slider inside of the gun, effectively demolishing the on off switch. Yes its the old style.

I have a pre release edition frame. I have yet to find a manufacturer that makes a trigger for this frame

Plus, they made the trigger pull long for a reason, they didnt want people accidentally misfiring it because the triger was set so short.
Understandable, but the E-99 trigger is adjustable. Hence the envy.

Called them. They said to call SP, because it would be warranty work on the circuit board.

I was told SP would void the warranty if the seal is broken. Uhh.. the board got screwed up when the on off got HIT the second and the first time. Its paintball, I get shot once in a while. Coincedently, twice in the same spot on two different occasions. I would expect SP to build a product that can with stand the hit of "a paintball". Then again, I appearantly have high expectations of this gun.

Its taken me a while to calm down. I am so aggravated(spelling?). So much money spent, and it still doesnt work.

Hey man, I feel your pain, lol. The same thing happened to one of my teammates a month ago. Got shot in 3 times in the gun (Impulse) from about 5 feet. Needless to say, the gun doesn't work anymore. I just find it oddly funny that a gun can't stand up to a hit.

if it is a complete prerelease gun (body, frame, tray, board, solenoid, etc) then i think you should be a little more lenient.....i mean, you should expect there to be a few things wrong with a gun when it FIRST COMES OUT, but by now SP has most of the problems that occured with the first impulses worked out

the paintball smashed the on off switch INTO the tray?! that would seem pretty darn hard to do considering the switch is almost twice the size of the hole....if you didnt have the black plastic part on it, i could understand the paintball screwing up the actual switch...but getting the black plate shoved into the tray is bizzare....maybe the guy was shooting hot

It isnt hard to smash the switch with the cover on. The cover gets hit, and transfers energy to the switch, it doesnt have to hit it hard, the switch is lightly soldered on. One direct impact on the plastic slider, can push it in far enough to shear the switch off the board. It happened to me. I know its possible on more than one occasion. He wasnt shooting hot. Using air, dual regs, and chronoing at 270, it seems hard to get a spike of that required.

Im gonna get a bushy, because it has every thing an Impulse should have.

The Pre-Release Impy's are pretty much junk. If your serial is under 7000, sell it and buy a new one.

The new ones, especially the Strange Impulses rock, except for the Magnetic Trigger (Magnetic return triggers suck, all of them).

The BKO is a rocking little gun, the BK2K2 is a great little gun, but isn't nearly the deal that the Impulse Vision/Ultimate Impulse is.

Like the others said, thre pre releases suck. The new V2 impulses are very nice. You should have done reserch on the impulse befor you bought it to save you time and $
