special effects?

Hey guys, I'm just wondering what you think would make a good fireball etc. I'm trying to make some cheap special effects for my friend so we can make some cool movies.

I hope this saber works...

well, the idea is to render the image into the movie and actually have it fit in ok... It was so cool last time we did it but it was a comedy with extrmely bad special effects... only spheres rendered as fireballs... lol

I prefer a differnt method to making a Lightsaber, in PSP (I lost the link) .looks better...but here's a tutorial in Photoshop:

firebals are easy to make soak a ball shaped sponge in gasoline for a couple days and then when you need a fireball and fire and away you go. if done properly this will work i know we used it for a school project once
