    Anybody know anything about knives?

Well heres the deal, I am looking for a good quality folding knife for general use around my home and paintball. Now me knowing absolutely nothing about them some online sites, and good brands would be appreciated. Once again I know next to nothing about knives I just want something thats going to last and get it's moneys worth of use.

Ohh and I almost forgot I would really like to keep it to $50 or less. Thanks

Edit- I should of been more specific. I am looking for a knife not a tool at all. Something that looks more tactical with a strait blade not serated at all.

All I know is, knives cut things. Some do it better than others.

Oh, and Emerson and Gerber make REALLY good ones. I've got an Emerson CQC7 with a Tungstun Carbide edge, you can shave steel with it and the blade won't get dull.

I have about 2 dozen knives kicking around of various makes.

the one I carry every day is a Gerber 500. Excellent steel and amazingly cheap.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Smith & Wesson line of SWAT knives. Excellent steel and VERY sharp edges. Perfect for varying utilites, lots of blade styles too.

I'm with the first responses. The best folding knife I've ever owned is a Kershaw Ken Onion Whirlwind, and I also love my Cold Steel Voyagers. I prefer the way the clip holds on the Cold Steel knives as opposed to my Kershaw, though.
