So I buy my Ps2 from the Misc Section here at AO. Play some games, having some problems, but it works. Then I try some DVDs, no dice. So rather than complain to the seller (I got a great deal IMO) I called Sony. They say, send it in, we will fix it for free (woo hoo!!)

I send it in, and wait 2-3 weeks, like instructed. (My roommate had the same problem, sent it in, and got it back around that time frame) So I go and pick up the PS2, and they hand me 2 big brown boxes. Now, I just recently bought a smoke warp from X-plosive, so Im thinking, wow, I got my warp and PS2 in the same day. So happy. But then I thought, well, I just sent payment a few days ago, factor in shipping, and it cant be the warp. Hmmm, oh well. Went home, opened one up, my PS2. Then opened the 2nd box, my PS2. Hmm, I dont own 2 PS2s, so that was kinda weird. Looked at the invoices, both were serviced and cleaned and both are made out to me. So thinkin Im gonna sell it and buy Lvl. 10. My god this sport is addicting.

Do they both work at playing DVD's? Maybe they could not fix your original one, so that sent you a new one. It's a longshot, but stranger things have happened.

Having work with Sony before I can almost guarentee (sp?) that they wouldnt have sent 2 ... better tracking system than that ... *L* ...

But I will advise you not to sell it till either you check it out with them (Which I am willing to bet you dont want to do) ... or until some significant time has passed.

They will eventually find the mistake and be able to track the shipping, and since you more then likely signed something when you picked it up they will know that you have it ... so if you sold it, thats an easy theft charge, and depending on the method of shipping there maybe a mail fraud charge involved ... dunno ...

Sony is not a friendly company when it comes to them losing money ... so I ask you to weigh the out-come of the choice you would make in selling property that isnt yours ...

They both work fine, play DVDs and all. Like I said, I checked the invoice, and both r under my name. I didnt sign for anything tho, (not that it eliminates responsibility) since I live at an apartment complex and the boxes r too big for the slots.
I will take your advice, since u worked for Sony and have a more intimate knowledge of their operation. Like I said, Im not sure y I got 2 of them, but I did. And for now, I am happy.

The RIGHT thing to do, is to contact Sony and inform them of the obvious error.

To not, is just as much theft as not paying from a store.

They made an honest mistake, you should make the honest effort to correct it.

Well, the verdict.

I called Sony today, on their help line, and told them the situation. They said they would contact me and arrange for it to get picked up. (I told them that I didnt want to pay shipping for something that I didnt do wrong) Oh well, still kinda funny, in a way. Guess Ill have to save up buy Lvl. 10. Thanks Army for the advice, guess maybe I'll get points upstairs for being honest and stuff.

Actually it may not kill them, but they will go after the money. Especially since its probably someone elses to begin with.

Also Sony doesnt make the xbox, MicroShaft(Soft) does ...

I had the same thing happen with paintballgear. They sent me almost 400 dollars worth of extra stuff, and charged me nothing. I made an effort to contact them, but they're customer service was so bad, I got to keep it all.

lol i wish pbgear is like that for me they send me all the right stuff except the tank cover is too small i return it and they say it fits but you just need 6 people to get it on the tank
