"Well, lets put out the first part of the trilogy in 1998, then wait 5 years, and put out the second two movies in 2003. That sounds like a good idea."

Peter Jackson has the right idea with LotR. One a year for three years.

Aye. The 2nd Matrix comes out in May or June, and the other one (depending on revinue, most likely) will come out in august or september. Methinks teh way their doing earned them a swift kick to teh nuts, but I'll still be there to see both ;-)

come on the matrix are going to be awesome. lotr is gonna be good and so will freddy vs jason.

tomb raider is definately a maybe.

does anyone know if there are any plans for a resident evil sequel? the first one was ok but only because it had such a low budget. if a serious movie company takes over that the sequel should be awesome.

I was told this so don't hold me too it, but the person is a matrix freak so I have no reason to doubt her:

I believe the 2nd matrix movie was supposed to be released early this year and the third early next year. Unfortunately due to orignal female star's death they had to reshoot much of the movie. Pushed the release dates back. Like I said, don't know for sure though.

Definately gonna see some of those.

Aliah (sp?) was the person in question... but she had just started shooting scenes so they didn't have to redo much. I don't think they ever set a 2002 release date, since they just finished principal photography.
