Wait- is Eminem the hypocrite? I get those rappers all mixed up. Never mind, I guess some people can look past a person's actions and personality and enjoy their music. So despite the fact they adamently claim they would never do a certain thing, such as, umm, never go to a MTV award show, once they see they could make money doing so they completly reverse their position and end up preforming at the show the very next year. But I guess integrity is unimportant. I used to like Eminem's music, and tried to stand up for him (being from Detriot), but once I saw him on the VMA's, I lost all respect for everything he has done, and I can't stand people I have no respect for. He is as close to the definition of a sellout I can think of.

Yeah - if you need to respect someone to listen to their music, I would plan on being deaf. More times than not you will find that the more you know about an artist the less you will respect the "person" behind the music. They are not the benevolent songsters paraded on MTV or the rebels without a clue - they are just normal people who make normal human decisions, right and wrong.

Anyway, when I want to get inspired to move - usually in the gym or in front of the heavy bag - I listen to a combination of System of the Down, Sepultura and Iron Maiden. The only Rap Song in my play list is Eminem's "I am whatever you say I am....". It really makes you want to pound the hell out of that 50 lb bag.

Making normal human decisions is cool and all, but basing songs around an ideal then immediatly reversing it is silly. Then there's the fact that I live in a dorm, and people are constantly playing rap and Eminem especially. Some of his older songs and freestyle stuff is really good. But I won't listen to them. Oh well- let's agreee to disagree.
