          joining the reserves this summer

so that when I'm out of high school, college is payed for (this is way better than ROTC)

then I go to college fulltime, work 1 weekend a month, and get $900 a month, enough to support me well enough (beer money too)

Major in mechanical engineering, minor in business

Then try to move my way up in racing (now that would be my dream career, getting payed to race)

I am the Computer Hardware Technician for a Major Insurance and Financial Firm in NYC - which mean I do everything that the software technichians don't. Funny - there are 7 fulltime Level2 Techs that cover software problems and just little old me to fix all the Computers, Printers, Copiers, Fax machines, projectors, TVs and just about any other mechanical/electronic gizmo in the office.

How does one go about getting that job? I have often though working in a casino would kick butt!

Underaged drinking in the military can get you in a boat load of trouble my friend. Don't ever get caught doing something illegal while your drunk (ie driving, fighting, etc). Not only will you have legal issues, but the Army will kick your bum too!

It was a case of right place, right time. I applied during a job fair for Cage Cashier or Slot Observer (Observers verified the transactions). I got interviewed for the Observer position, got hired, and when the Attendant class came around, I took it (and aced it). Two months after my original start date, I became an Attendant.

BTW, I've worked at the other casino in CT, and I think working at this casino is better.

Also, I just got off of deployment with the US Army; I am National Guard, my MOS is 11B (light infantryman). Lastly (I dont get paid for this one) I do search and rescue for Massachusetts. I think we did all this before...

Will graduate with an accredited computer science degree this May...

I make student IDs to pay for gas and food.

After school... I may shoot for business programming, internet programming, DB programming, systems analyst, or net admin stuff. Whatever I can get pretty much, I don't really care. I'll even settle with IT (*cringe*) for a bit if the pay is good enough. I'll probably spend a lot of time getting some certs... which I haven't had time to do but always wanted to.

I'm seeing what IGT (International Gaming Institute) has... it would be cool to program casino games and stuff.

                                Wireless Technical Support Rep

When you have problems with your cellphone.. and you call customer service, if the rep can't fix your problem.. they call me. I have access to several mainframe systems such as HLR, VLR, SMC's etc..needless to say...I can make a change on one thing and you could lose your cellphone service. All you need to know... is...I'm GOD for the cellphone industry. In my offtime..I'm a practicing professional Counter-Strike player. I also do several things in which I refuse payment such as changing tires on the freeway for elderly, mother's etc.. I love people!.. most anyway..
