Ok, heres a sorta random question, but something i've been wondering about. Hmm..The answer seems obvious, but sorta doesnt. Im confused.

Lets say i have a fan that is 30 decibals loud, now i have 5 of those fans. How loud is it?

are all the fans the same or are they different. if there the same then it will be 30 decibals. if there different then you will go by the loudest

Yeah they are all the same. So it wont sound any louder? That makes sense, but i keep questioning myself.

The way I see it, the individual sounds don't stack up, so there's no way in hell you'll get 150 decibals out of that. It sounds louder because there are more sources for that 30 db of sound... methinks

check a math book theres probably an equation that uses the decible level, the cubic feet inside the room, and other variables like that. if you REALLY want to find out how loud your fans are...
