    PS2 SOCOM Players??

Hello all, just wondering if we have any SOCOM players on the boards. List your user names and maybe we can get an AGD game goin on one night. Right now I am "Mr Orange" and usually play in us east or central. See you on the field

My son or I play as Mr. Rabbit.
If someone can tell me how to figure out what the IP address is for my PS2 so I can DMZ it on my router I would be eternally greatful.

than, i beleive that you have a router with a DHCP server on it, so you need to have the ps2 adapter automatically get its Local IP. Is that what you were asking? If not, explain.

local IP's usually start with 10.0.0.1 and go up to 10.0.0.2 (for the next computer) and so on. So it is probabaly, depending on how many computers are on that network, going to be somewhere inbetween 10.0.0.9 and 10.0.0.1

What kind of router do you have?

                I have a D-Link DI-604.
DHCP is turned on. I want to leave it on.
DMZ - (demiliterized zone) targets a specific IP and gives it free reign/access to the internet. My son and I have conluded this is why voice chat is not working for us. I've browsed around the forums for SOCOM and this is the most we've been able to find out. If I can DMZ the PS2 and only the PS2 I will be happy. So like I said, I need to find out how to determine the IP of the PS2.

yes, why may I ask? Do you know a way that I can figure out what IP's have been distributed by the DHCP?

on that screen for my router, one of the options is attached devices. Under attached devices i can see all the computers on the network and their Local IP. Try looking through all of the menus there and try and find a menu like that.

Make sure that your PS2 is plugged in and configured to automatically get assigned an IP.

Ok, here: Go into the web based config, and select home on the top, then select DHCP on the left. There should be a list of all the devices that are connected to the router.

I asked the guys at Electronics Boutique why my network adapter wont work, they said it was because of the firewall at my school. Is there a way I can get around that?

                          Coaster,
You hit it on the head. I have not been able to test the mic, but we'll see.
                          Thanks!
