Ok here's the update, I spent almost all spare time I had at school with her. She dosen't realy want to goto the dance, not because of me, just cause she dosen't like the dances at our school, she thinks they are boring. So aggh, does that mean I lost my pimp status But its Ok, on monday I'll see if I can convince her with me, by useing the, "Well, the only reason you never had fun at the dances is because you weren't there with me , And hopefully that works, if not, its ok, I'll find another oprotunity to take her out, heck, I'll invite her for lunch after school or something. But at least we got to talk alot. And today must have been a gift from God, because all of her friends were sick, suspended, or just not hanging with her. So yay for me!!! That gave me a chance to talk to her alone.

Ok, after lurking a little i found this slightly interesting so i figured i'd throw my 2 cents in. Now, the confidence thing is only going to get you so far. Granted, most women do want a guy with the confidence, but we're talking about a girl(no offense) here and all sorts of different rules interfere with this. It's been my experience that girls around that age are looking for a boyfriend to impress people. Nice car, some money, good dresser, jock, yadda yadda yadda. Basically centered around popularity. Obviously not all of them are like that, but a lot are. Devil has a good point. If she talks to you about other guys, she doesn't see you as one. You have to know how personal she is with you. If she tells you everything, then generally you're doomed. Sort of a judgement call on that one.

Next point is dignity. It is extremely over rated. So what if she rejects you? If she's as cool as you say she is, she wouldn't embarress you if she does reject you. If she were, she wasn't worth it to begin with. If you ask and get turned down, at least you know you tried. If you don't, then you'll never know if she would have said yes. The worse thing that will happen is she'll stop talking to you and you'll forget about her. Big deal.

Lastly, there are other fish in the sea. This isn't going to be the last girl you ever have feelings for. You get shut down, just take it and move on. Focus on paintball. It's more important anyways. Girls will always be there. You might not always have the ability to play. When the time is right, the right girl is going to come to you. More like you'll go to each other, but you just have to have patience.

Honestly my advice to give you is this:

stop trying. Don't TRY and get a girl. You'll look stupid. You won't be who you really are no matter how hard you try. Just say hey whats up, have a conversation and let that be all it was. Let them come to you! It should be obvious if you know what to look for.

Okay...words of advice from someone who knows...when you find out the girl likes someone else, move on. Don't put any more effort in trying to make her like you. As much as you like her, give it up for now. Otherwise, you might do something much worse like push her away from you. If you value the friendship, keep it at that.

Sorry to hear about that. Believe me, putting a lot of effort into making her realize you're the better guy and her not seeing it is a big let down for you. Sometimes, it's even harder to take than knowing she doesn't like you that way.

You're gaining maturity points fast, I've found most "serious' girls want a guy that abopve average mature, seing as there are no truly mature guys hehe.

But even more then that, they don't want somone who is desperate. A relaxed, mature, and confident aproach will yield the best results.

Beyond that, it differs from girl to girl, largly dependant on what her dad and brothers are like. They influence a girls perseption of the "perfect man" imensly.

I've spent the last 9 months analysing that ONE subject. And this is my answer, so I'm SURE it's not without, but it's possible it's incompleat.

The women that don't fall in this catagory aren't ready to be serious yet, and infact have some growing up to do.

Eh, I'm a sophomore and I have no girl but it doesn't bother me. I still have the sweet sweet lovin from the one and only girl for me, the sweet sweet lady of DSL. Besides it would be kinda akward having the be driven around by my parents on a dat and what not.

Ignore all the youngin's, listen to those of us with experience in this issue... Since you're worried about asking her around her friends, get her away from them, just say "Hey, come here for a sec., I need to ask you something." Or whatever you feel is appropriate...
