Seach, Search, Search?

Nearly every thread I see now has a response saying "Do a search". Even I do it sometimes.

Its sorta getting out of hand though, Somebody will ask a simple YES/NO question and get "DO A SEARCH!!!"

I mean comemon...

I'm not singling out people either, atleast SHartley, the king of searching, tells people what they need to know, then suggests a search. I'm just saying, if they are new, the first thing they do isn't going to be search. We can atleast answer their question.

All im saying is, Searching is good, but if somebody asks a question, if all you are going to say is "SEARCH" then dont bother responding. If you are going to add something to the conversation, thats a different story.

There is indeed another thread dealing with this issue. Like you said, I normally point out the needed info, but I want to see if you can actually find this one.

Did you do a seach on people complaining about people telling other people to do a search? Cause Im sure there were other threads *****ing to Shartley. even though he's usually right....

I am going to have to agree with xmetal though. I realize that people could do a search...but you act like it is a tedious job to answer their questions. If you don't want to answer...don't; they can do a search if their thread fails.

True SHartley, there have been other threads, but not exactly like mine. One was showing people how to search and the other revealing the "causers" of the whole search thing...
