Tom where did you go to college

Just wondering because I think I'm gonna major in engineering, and it would be really cool if I engineered, therefore made, my own line of guns...I could go looking around at some really good colleges i.e. MIT of course, but I was just wondering what school you went to out of curiosity. Thanx

I do not belive Tom went to college... i belive I remember him saying somehting about learning the trade from others in the field over time.. search deep blue.

nope he didnt go... heres a quote from Citizen kaye in the october issue of facefull "I ll start in high school, after that i didnt want to go to college, i wanted to go live in the woods. SO i hichhiked across america, found out liiving out in the woods wasnt the greatest idea, this was in the late 70's."

tom later goes on to discuss how they made air feeds for other industries, and his robotics business. Some pretty cool stuff. But tom never went to college

Alot of brilliant engineering types don't go to college. I believe that Steve Wozniak (probably butchering his last name) that brilliant designer of the Apple computer (nope I'm not one of those die hard Mac users) never went to college. There are a ton of more in the computer industry.

I have two degrees. One in economics/history and the other in computer engineering. I learned alot and they help me out in my work but.......I run across people who are just natural at what they do and am just amazed by them. They don't have time to study what comes naturally to them! Never met Tom but he is probably one of these individuals.

well, Gates took a guess on Microsoft and took a prayer and it paid off for him. there are hundreds like him whos guess didnt pay off

This is more of a "friendly" discussion so moderators excuse my rant......

I have to say that recently I have wanted to punch Bill Gates in the face. When the Windows 98 second edition came out I was really happy with the computer industry. Everything worked, crashing seemed to be at a minimum, and it was pretty fast. Now everytime I want to do something some stupid little guy pops up, "Hi I'm Wizzy the Wiz here to help you with moving a document from the Desktop to the My Documents Folder. Follow these steps...."

Okay maybe it is not that bad but it is pretty close....

thats because some people are, indeed, natural engineers. they just get it. they understand a cam works because they see no other alternative. they can take something apart and figure out how it works, because they cant understand how it couldnt.

i am one of those people. my friends always complain. "why dont you just buy parts and normal guns? why do you always find the wierdest gun around and make stuff for it!?"
