Not every critic is the same. Metacritic offers aggregated game reviews from the top critics, and our own METASCORE pinpoints at a glance how each game was reviewed.

my friend just got this and its a real lot of fun!

Its a lot like the old 007 game for n64, but its much better. I liked it a real lot. The textures and graphics are great and the settings are really nice.

It's a great game. The multiplayer levels really arn't too good, but the level editor (while limited) more than makes up for that. The guns are decent, but my favorites (pistols) in this game are terrible. Slow fire-rate, really weak damage, and if you get too close you will just shoot past people (even with auto-aim). I really like the game, though, and only wish I could affore to buy it.

Apparently no one got my numerous hints that I loved this game.

I guess I am the first to say, this game is a rentable AT MOST, it sucks, the graphics arent as good as they could be, sounds are avarage, gameplay is normal, if you are looking for a good "James Bond" type of game, i suggest wait and get "Nightfire".

Hmm... complaints but no real reasons why. Any game can have better graphics. I personally loved the character anamation and texture work in the game. The character design was a little lacking, but still interesting and entertaining. The sound is one place where this game is not lacking. The game sounds great. (Note: massive ripping off of GameSpy's review of the PS2 version game follows)

"TS2's sound effects and music are excellent, particularly the latter. TS2 takes the Medal of Honor approach with its use of non-dynamic background tracks, but the tunage is so excellent that you won't care."

"TimeSplitters 2 is easily the system's best multiplayer FPS, with a surprising amount of single-player action. The lack of online play is unfortunate, but can be overlooked since the core game is so strong. Any way you slice it, TimeSplitters 2 is a fabulous game, and an excellent choice for any console FPS fan looking for a new fix."

The reference to the 007 for N64 refers to Goldeneye. No one actually cares about the Bond franchise on consoles- the only good one was Goldeneye(I shudder when thinking of any other Bond game). This game follows Goldeneye's pacing and mission structure, and movement and shooting is handeled similar to Goldeneye. This is a very good thing, since Goldeneye and now TimeSplitters 2 simply handles better than any other console FPS out there. How about this- don't get it for single player (unless you like bots) but don't hesitate if you have people to play it with.
