Help me name my new dog

We just picked up a stray dog and got attached to him before we could find him a good home. We've spent the last week trying to find a good name for him but are not having any luck. Any suggestions? We were thinging something German giving the Doberman features.

I have seriously called every dog I've had "puppy" while he was young, and "doggie" when he grew up. Every cat I've had was named "kittie" his whole life. My sister named them all, but I could never keep track.

I can't get a dog where I live now, but once I can I will simply name it "doggie" and skip all the rest. Its the most practical name of all
