    Alcohol Question

    I was wondering if anyone knows some female names for alcoholic drinks (i.e. Shirley Temple). It's for an English assignment.

    Also: Does anyone know what the name "Jack" is short for?

      Jack, as in Jack and Coke, is short for Jack Daniels Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey. Most people confuse it for a bourbon, but while close to most bourbons in taste and distilling, it is technically in its own category of tennessee sour mash whiskeys.

      I don't really drink chick drinks, so I'm not the expert there. I have a bartenders guide in my car though, I could take a look at it later for you.

              No,no,no... You misunderstood my question. Not drinks that girls drink (like a Cosmo) but drinks that have girls names (like shirley templ, or Amber Bock).

              And what is Jack short for? you know, like we call Jonathans---John or Nathaniels---Nate.

                  Amber Bock isn't a girls name. Bock is a type of beer, and Amber is the color
