yessm i reckon we do use them lil fishies for bait up here in new york. for ice fishing mainly, they love that 33 degree water. no but seriously, i used to be a fish fanatic, currently i own 6 fish tanks, a 190 gallon, a 73gallon, 2 30s and 2 10s. I have all cichlids tho. (jacks, and cons for s.a.'s and johannis for the africans)

can't say I use coral but I have seen big koi used as bait.

pretty effective too...

excuse me, but dont the oskars like a semi brackish water? if so, how is the eel surviving?? or the oskars surviving?

oscars like water 72-82degrees and not sure bout the eel but the water is around 76 degrees now.

brackish is with a low salt count, but not totally fresh... you may want to grab a book real fast and read to make sure im wrong, or you may get some sickly chichlids soon...... i hope im wrong, but check it out to be safe man!

well i have some doctor well fishes aqua salt, i use it to help heal the fish reduce stress and add electrolytes, also it improves gill function. its for fresh and saltwater fish o guess it isnt the same salt, well im gonna try to find sometighng on brakish

ok i red about it, it said some chichilids are brackish, also it said a pointy eel was brackish.... while my oscars are under the chichilid family, they have been living in my tank for almost 8 months now so i belive they are ok. now my eel isnt a poiny eel its a freshwater morray eel. not sure about brackishness yet but he's been alive with me for 3 days now.
