If that was my dog and he bit my 3 yr old girl I would very quickly take it someplace and put a nice shiny bullet in its head.
He bit once and can very easily do it again and next time could be alot worse

How and why is it sad to you.
Everyone deals with situations differently. I will never ever put my child in any sitiuation that would cause her any kind of pain.

      Dog bites.....dog dies

personally my family doesn't allow any kind of biting whatsoever from our dogs. not even in play. our animals learn early on never to use their teeth on us. granted we don't treat them too harshly for playful biting. usually a single finger tapped on the nose and a firm "No." if they ever really bite, which seldom happens, then they really get hollered at and they get a swat on the butt as they run for the hills. this "no tolerance" policy seems to work fairly well as all of our animals will put up with huge amounts of abuse from my sister without ever even thinking about biting her.

          Laser,

Obviously you didn't read the thread correctly because she, being the dog, bit my three year old son.

Don't you think your being a little melodramatic?

She's a puppy, now it is one thing to give her away, it is a totally different issue when you plan on killing another living animal.

The bite was not malicious, the dog didn't attack my son and bite him repeatedly. She since has not biten him.

She being a puppy is going to mouth things, just like children do, they are teething. Children bite as well when they are infants before they can talk as a form of communication.

I would never put my children in harms way, I care about them too much.

For some reason you posted 3 times in almost the same response in each, either you want to stir up some form animosity towards yourself or your looking for attention.

I'm certain that you will read this and have your own response, again. However don't expect me to reply in the same fashion. I do not believe in petty quarrels.

As for everyone else Rainy is doing well since the incident and I thank you all for your words of wisdom.

          Take care
