Tattoo'd? Pierced?

Just curious to how many of you AO peeps are tattood and/or pierced.

I currently have 3 tats and 5 piercings ... my tongue, labret, ears and cartilage are pierced .. and I have 3 tats ... one of which is below.

i think there was a similar thread to this a while back, but anywho.

currently 4 piercings (tongue, 6ga navel, ear and nipple) down from a total of 11
5 traditional tats and an inked scarification piece on my back.

I have one tattoo on my right calf, its a unicorn with roses and hearts, it says True Love. I have my ears and my tongue pierced.

I have 6 piercings, a 12g lip ring(left corner of my lip), in my left lobe a 6g, 10g, and 14g, and in my right lobe 3 14gs(I'm working on stretching all of them except the lip), trying to talk my Mommy into letting me get more ,and I should be inked by next december hehe

actually it looks alot like a really bad prison tattoo streaky and not entirely filled in. it was done via scalpel making a series of small cuts then rubbing in ink.

its the mandarin symbol for equality and is about 2.5x4" and slapped between my shoulder blades.

My ink is one I knew that I could not be embarrassed about when my grandkids ask what it is...

As for men with piercings......I can't give my unadulterated opinion on AO about this, without Tom chewing my butt. Let's suffice to say; if you want to look like a pirate or a clown, I will laugh at you.

looking like a pirate i can deal with but another clown comment and this may lead to fisticuffs i hate them dern clowns.

i think that one can be pierced and not look like a freak, i for one hold down a corporate job with rather strict dress codes and rules of conduct. i personally see no difference between people wearing body jewelry/tattoos and people who recieve other forms of body modifications (breast implants, hair plugs, teeth whitening..heck, shaving if you want to be a purist).

i lump almost everything we (as humans) do for the sole reason of altering our physical apperance to better fit our own personal percieved ideals into one big pile.

spazzed- more than you can imagine, it took six and a half hours total and i ended up having my wrists/arms duct taped to the legs of the table i was laying on so that i couldn't move around and make the artist lose his place it was a truly spiritual experience i am glad i went through, but will never actively seek out to repeat.

There was another thread about tattoos..started by me! LOL. Eh, anywho...I have one..it's an oriental red dragon breathing fire on my right arm. I have a very good artist that works on it..and I just keep adding to it. One day, when it's a half sleeve I'll look back and say "I remember when it was just this."

All my tattoo's can be covered with just jeans a short sleeve shirt .... My piercings aren't distasteful and look fine ... I do agree that some people take it too far.

I too hold down a corporate job ... I work for INSIGHT which is a Fortune 500 company as a computer tech and none of the management seems to mind my ears/labret being visably pierced because they are tasteful ....

But my view is people can do what they want, if its their way of expression then good for thme and I dont look down on them at all ....
