Guys I am having a problem on the internet with pages being misdirected, lots of 404 errors, buttons not showing up, not being able to connect to pages like hotmail that I use all of the time, pages changing colors and fonts, etc. Sometimes all is fine and a minute later everything is screwed up. Here are my computer specs:

1.50GHz Pentium 4
400MHz Front Side bus
256MB PC-133 SDRAM
Cable modem

I can find whatever else you need. Everything has been working fine for the past 7 months and all of a sudden its spam city and when I refresh pages other ones come up. Also have those annoying popups that appear randomly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit:Alright just unchecked webfilter and web security off of PC-cillin and everything is back to normal. That was the last change that I could remember I made to the system so looks like that was causing it. Anyone have any explanation for this?

re: computer trouble..

not real familiar with PC-cilin. It probably had to do with turning off active scripting and active x controls.

If you still have annoying pop ups and such try these programs to clean up "spyware".

Spybot 1.1 search and destroy
