    DVD Reccomendations

Hey.. I'm looking at DVDs to get my dad for christmas.
My dad just recentally had surgery on his nose and he was just looking better when he said his leg felt numb.. so he called the doctor and they said it might be a blood clot.. right now he is in the hospital getting looked at.
This, on top of the fact that he does so much for me, has made me feel I should buy a crapload of DVDs.
He is a movie person, I dunno if he has a prefrence, but just list your favorate movie/s that you would reccommend and I'll look at the discription online, and maybe buy it..
I dont think he would like to see anything, for example, like say The fast & the furious, or American pie..
He might watch something like the Matrix (dunno if he has seen it, but we dont own it) or a Comedy like rush hour..
I dont know what he would watch, because I myself havent watched a fourth of the movies we have.
We have LOTR and I have already told him to watch it.. he hasnt got around to it yet though..
I think he might like more military based movies, but again I must say that I'm not him and I dont know what he likes

    Thanks.

BTW he has not seen the Austin powers series, I might get him those..

Well seeing how you don't know what he likes, then I don't have a clue either. I will recommend the following movies though:
      -Saving Private Ryan (war)
      -The Edge (adventure)
      -Braveheart (war)
      -Hard Boiled (hong kong action)
-Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (hong kong action/drama)
      -The Rock (action)
      -Full Metal Jacket (war)
-The Godfather special edition 3 disc set (mob)
      -Fight Club (action/drama)
-Clerks (comedy, if you haven't seen it, it's totally worth your $)
-Chasing Amy (comedy, same director {Kevin Smith} as Clerks, also a great movie)
      -The Rainmaker (Drama)
      -Executive Decision (action)
      -Shawshank Redemption (drama)
      -Scarface (mob)
      -Heat (action)
      -Goodfellas (mob)
-LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring 4 disc set (fantasy/adventure)
      -Blow
-Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
      -Donnie Darko

I know there's a lot more good movies out there, but I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

Look into a movie called "Kelly's Heros"

Its great... its a 70's action/comedy starring Clint Eastwood, Don Rickles, Donald Sutherland, Telly Sevales, Carroll O'Connor among others... Set in WWII, its a plot about stealing Nazi gold... must see for everyone. Really a great movie.

Also look into the Pink Panther movies

Snatch is really good too. The Shawshank Redemption is one of the best...
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?
