Dayspring thats a little more then $100 though... if it isn't please give me the link for it!

Paintbattler if I were you I would look into the GeForce 3 TI 200 card. It is a little bit more then 100 right now, I think it was 120-140 last time I checked, but it is ALOT better then the other cards in its range.

If I were you I would NOT get anything having to do with the GeForce MX line of cards... most of the GF3's will do better then those, even the GF4 MX's...

(edit) Just checked the price, www.newegg.com has them ranging in price from $85 to 150... check here:

The man knows what he it talking about. The MX's are based off of the GF2 design...and I know plenty of people who were suckered into thinking it held it's ground with the 4's...or even-high end 3's...and were very disapointed.

Dude get more ram also ... 64Meg is going to kill your system if you try to play any of the more current games. At the current prices, there is no reason to have anything less then 1 Gig of ram ...

You could get a nice ATI card or a geforce 3 ti (200 or 500) and then use the rest of the money for ram. I think Lopxtc might be going a little overboard on the gig of ram thing though. 256 - 512 megs should do just fine.

Anyway like everyone else said don't get a Geforce MX card they are worthless. A geforce 4 mx440 is basically a geforce 2 overclocked.

I have a PNY GeForce MX400, and it runs fine. I know its not the best card on the market, but it runs all my 3D games beautifully, I have no complaints.

If other people are having problems like they said they were, then maybe you'd want to avoid them then. I could be in the minority.

I might be able to dig up a decent used card for you if you wanted, for cheap. Send me a PM. I forget the chipset, but it has 32MB of DDR. He is getting rid of it for like $20, so I could give it to you for that + shipping if you wanted. It's not top of the line, but it's cheap and it'll be a lot better than what you have now.
