    Computer Audio????

Well I pretty much decided to go out and buy myself one of the best computer speaker systems on the market for christmas and I havent been able to decide. Right now the Klipsch pro media 5.1 takes the cake after reading a bunch of in-depth reviews on the net. Any tips or suggestions are appeciated.

    Klipsch Pro Media 5.1

    Cambridge Sound Works Megaworks 5.1

    -Logitech's Z-560

    -Sirroco Crossfire

I currently own the stock cambridge soundworks 4.1 speakers and think there nice and all but it's kinda like paintball I want to have the best out there and I'm just kinda stuck on which to get. Anything is appreciated.

I have Klipsch 2.1 and I LOVE them. I don't think 5.1 is really all that necessary (sp.?) 4.1 is good enough for computer speakers. The 5th one isn't needed and the controller for the 5.1 is a piece of crap.

    I'd go with 4.1 Klipsch

You are considering something OTHER than Klipsh? Are you insane?

In terms of overall performance the best altec lansing model is nowhere even near the 4 I listed.

They may "rock" but aren't even close to what the other 4 can do.

And the reason I consider something other than Klipsch is simply the fact that there are other models out there that compare that are cheaper and thats always good.

The Klipsch are the best, bar none. I think they were selling some refurbs for $200 at their site.

The Logitechs are really close seconds. The problem with them is that the sub blows out REALLY easily. There's a fuse that's just too fragile in there. We had a demo set that kept going down, and lots of customers with the same problem.

They have the new 5.1 Z-680s out now. Check them out. They may have solved the fuse problem.

Never said Klipsch didn't rock ..I've never had my grubby hands on a set in the first place, but going from what you guys have said, my X-mas list just got longer!
