    Santa's Little helpers

I know all of you have probably heard of this before but I just thought I would mention it in the spirit of giving.

If you go to your local post office and ask for Santa's Letters they will give you letters written by children, asking Santa for gifts. Some of them are just asking for small gifts.

I am going today when I drop off some grips and picking up a few letters myself and taking the proceeds from the grips to buy some gifts for the children in the letters.

Not only will you make a child happy some where, but you feel great in knowing that you kept the spirit of giving alive and gave some child hope that there are nice people out there, or the hope that Santa does exist.

I think this is a great idea than just dropping off a gift at a local drop off, this way you have a letter keep sake of a child.

    Take care and Happy Holidays

I never knew this! Thanks for the info.

At my local gym, they have a "Giveing Tree" where they take letters written by children who are from Archway Special Needs School, and you can pick one off the tree and drop the gift off at the gym. I do it every year.

I felt bad though, the first one I took, the kid wanted an XBox!! There was no way I could do that, so I put it back and picked another one. Someday I'll be able to afford that but not at this moment. hehe

Yeah I thought that was a great idea. If there aren't any local than you could go to a large city branch. I will probably go to Providence which is our state branch, they are bound to have some there.

That's great that they have giving trees near you Mango. Just remember to that just because they ask for an expensive gift doesn't mean you have to buy that gift. You could keep the tag and get them something different. It is the thought that counts...not the gift.

You don't have to have a lot of money to give something little.

Good for you Mango!!!! Keep up the good deeds

        LOL

The ones we have gotten, the kids literally ask for a hat, gloves or a warm shirt. It's really kind of sad, even though it's Christmas, they still don't get toys.
