I agree it's a pretty great game. I like hideing in the shadows right in front of a guard as he walks up to you. Then as he turns you grab him and knock him out.
Or how about rappeling thats cool also. Just this evening I rappeled down to a window, shoot through the window took a guard out, then swung in through the glass.

COOL!
I just finished playing the PC demo. I can't wait until it comes out for PC. I was barely able to play it. I'm WAY under minimum specs, but pulled it off. Somehow, my 32mb SDR GeForce was able to do dynamic lighting. Too bad it was low everything with 10fps.
Anyhoo, how much cooler does the rest of the game get? From the first level alone, I am loving the gameplay. How is the story? Are the cut scenes done well, where it actually is instrumental to the story?
Redstorm did an AWESOME job this time around. I love the realism and tactical planning aspect of the R6 series, but it gets so frustrating sometimes. I love playing around with my way points and stuff. Planning the missions is probably more fun for me than actually executing it.
I have to decide, get it for PC or GC. The GC I can play right away, but for PC, it gives me an excuse to build a new box. Wahoo!Comment

I've got this game for Xbox, and it gets way hard in the 5th mission. It started to frustrate me, and I haven't played it since (I was getting pretty angry, to the point of throwing the controller through the tv). Anyways, if you've got a lot of patience, this is a great game for you, but not for everyone, I'd suggest renting first. And I can't believe that some people are comparing it to metal gear...you have full camera control, an entire sortie of moves, and such limited ammo you'll wish that someone had left some more. Plus there isn't some bogus, horrific, Japanese story backing it.
Maybe someone can PM me why my sig was tampered

i was going to get the Xbox game but after the PC demo came out, i decided i will just wait for hte PC version. My system is fully capable of running the game except for the video card. I overclocked it as much as possible while keeping stable results, but hey i can live with 30fps =)Comment

not really. I bought Splinter Cell and Metal Gear 2: Substance for Xbox. I have to say Splinter cell is just so much more challenging and has a lot more neat features. I'm probably going to trade MGS2 in to babbages or something.Originally posted by FalconGuy016
metal gear is a lot more scriptedComment

Splinter Cell is the sole reason I wish I had an X-Box.
1. I am a huge fan of Clancy games. Especially Rainbox Six and Rogue Spear.
2. The gameplay frigcking owns. Perioid.-Vegeta
