    Graphics/Game/Computer Q

Ok, I downloaded the latest drivers for my GeForce 3 and I go to play DoD and CS. Now, whenever I look at the sky it gets blurred when I move the mouse around and then is alot of slow down, not lag. This happened RIGHT after I installed the drivers. Can anyone help me? or tell me a command in console to turn off the sky mapping?

If I remember correctly, a version of the GF3 drivers had problems. Many people complained about the same problems as you. Go back to the older driver. For more info goto alt.comp.periphs.videocards.nvidia newsgroup. Also, what OS/mobo/cpu are you running?

Try upgrading or downgrading your drivers. Additionally, DirectX 9 is now officially out and released, so you might want to try upgrading to that as well.

Word of warning, DX9 cannot be uninstalled except by 3rd party tools.

What OS are you running? Did you run the lates Windows update and defrag the system? Also run a virus scanner to make sure that you don't have one.

Have you looked at your settings in the games at all?

Its been a long time since I played Half Life (DoD), but you should be able to go in there and mess with some of the graphics options, see if perhaps software got turned on, etc.

Also check your settings in the Nvidia tool panel, after you open your display properties.

OK, I fixed it. BUT, its weird. In the settings for Half Life i used to have to select direct 3d 1024 by 768 and i COULD NOT run Open GL 1024 by 768 or any other resolution. But not i was fiddling around with it and i selectewd Open GL and it works fine. Thanks for the help guys!
