    Ever have this happen?

Got bored, so I decided to post this up. Not using AGD's bandwidth for the picture, mind you.

Yes, that is a fried mainboard. One of the capacitors/resistors/thingie went kaput in November or so. I just found this pic.

I think there was a current spike when my Power-supply's fan got blocked and overheated. That's my guess, at least.

Don't have it anymore, actually. That night I ripped it out of my Case, and slammed it against a concrete pillar.

      I was pissed.

replace a capacitor that's soldered onto the board? No thanks.

its real easy to replace, any monkey should be able to. now what is fun is taking a cap. and putting it in a circuit backwards. if you have seleceted the right munitions, it will shoot like a bbgun. had one launch in the basement, went rattling around above the heat ducts. you have to be careful not to get the ones that are vented. most caps are vented these days, but you can still find small unvented ones. im waiting to take something old apart to find an big one. mmmmm arty.
i dont like signatures. so i turned them off. AO is much better this way.
