Here is an email I got from someone faking "@warpig.com", I also have gotten the same email from @paintballgear.com, @paintball.com, etc.

From the memo attached I'd assume it's either a Paki or possibly a Romanian.

I really don't appreciate misinformed posts insinuating that WARPIG's user registration files are accessible to the public for spam and or intentional sending of viruses.

It is simply not true.

It is possible, that someone to whom you have sent an e-mail, or who's address list (on their personal computer) has your address, is infected with Klez or a Klez variant.

It is also possible, that at some point your e-mail address has been published on the web - such as in a classified ad posting at WARPIG, or another web site, as Klez and similar viruses scan web caches to get addresses to use as fake return addresses (I've been systematically reducing the number of places WARPIG's e-mail address appears online, because presently we get over 400 virus mails a day sent to us) or as the target addresses.

not really acusing warpig man, chill!! im just sayin it happed about the same time i registed.
anyway i love warpig i go there several times a day to look around and to see whats up. so im sure u guys wouldnt do it

Poor Bill. It's not Bill's fault guys. Anyway. I hate people that make viruses, they're so pointless.

yeah i have norton anti and it wont let them open.
but its important that u have it on auto protect and have it scan you emails

now for the kicker..... to date for me using computers (and we're going back to 1982 here with my TRS-80 from rat shack)

i have only had to deal with 1 virus that had infected my system..... any others that were on my system over the years were of the harmless type that were more annoying then anything else....

now if you excuse me i need to go find some simulated wood to knock on

hehe virus i don't think ive had any virii in about as long as you...well except for the ones ive put there myself or compiled to see what they do
