You would have better off changing the mode to greyscale and then doing blur 3 or 4 times to get rid of the lines. B&W usually looks sharper anyway so the blur won't hurt.

i can do better than blur. i used the dust and scratch filter. here it is in black and white.

btw i was not attempting to fix the colors. i put it through the high pass filter. i thought it added some contrast and highlighted her face better. also i was bored and i just got photoshop and haven't really had a chance to play around with all those stupid things. here's what it would look like if i had been trying to fix the colors.

Blur with B&W doenst look bad, dust and scratch never works well IMO.

i think she still looks like she's being looked at through a screen. i still see lines all over. i tried blurring until they were completely gone but then i just ended up with a blurry picture. here's one last attempt at using the high pass filter. the last one i did turn up too high. i wasn't really paying attention.

that first pic doesn't look as bad when i view it in photoshop for some reason. i knew something was up. i couldn't figure why i would post a picture that looked that bad.
