9-11 tattoo

this is a tattoo myself and my brother who is also a firefighter designed. Very good work done by Wolf fine line tattoo in Joliet Illinois. Took about 11 hours to finish.

yeah after the first half out u kind of get used to it and its not that bad till they take a break and then when they start again..wow my arm wasnt happy!

It took 11hrs to do my leg ... most of it was designing a very thick outline... but while its going your adreneline keeps ya from going nuts, but when they take a break and start up the sore skin HURTS so bad to get done again, and when you've stopped for a bit the first time you hear the needle startup again is wrenching..lol

I cant wait for another one

I have 3 ... all 3 have meaning (not quite as amazingly symbolic as yours, but meaning to me).

1) Tribal Dragon on my left arm: Basically a symbol of power, to me its an internal power .... almost like faith in yourself.

2) Small snake in a figure 8 on my back: Figure 8 is a symbol of eternity... to never change .. to always be yourself

3) Tribal mess w/ "MIND BODY SPIRIT" in kanji on my right leg ... the point of is the kanji is surrounded by the tribal .. the tribal is CHAOS ... everywhere in life you have chaos, that which you cant control ..... but in the middle of it all you have inner peace, the place where the chaos cant touch you

Sorta indepth meanings nobody would see from looking at them ... but I'll always know.

yep i have to agree if ur going to get a tattoo they have to have meaning or ur going to.......outgrow them. thats why i really wanted to draw it up myself, no one else has it except me and my bro.

thats a really cool tat. im glad you're still patriotic unlike a lot of people who took their flags down a week after 9/11. still have a flag in my room. i always had an american flag somewhere, wether it be on my backpack at school, my car, or my room. god bless the usa.

Sorry to hear about all of your lost brothers. I dont know what I would have done if that many of my friends parished. I am considering the armed services when I am out of College with some sort of degree so I can be an officer instead of a grunt.
