    This is creepy

Now, first off, let me say that I'm not a guy who beleives in ghosts, poltergeists, voodoo, and all of that other supernatural stuff, but I was looking around and found this on e-bay. www.whattheheck.com/ebay/scary.html.
Sure the seller's story is scary, and I'm sure that's going to help with trying to sell the picture that she got from some "picker". But I'm just wondering does anyone else get a chill from looking at the picture. The little boy in the picture looks possesed, and the "girl" is one freaky looking doll. Also can anyone figure out what that is that the doll/girl is holding in her hand?

Just thought I'd share this with you all and see if anyone gets the chills from looking at that pic.

O.K. I got the link to work.
It look's like something I would
expect to see in a TOOL video,
          somewhat disturbing but somewhat cool.

Actually I found it through whattheheck.com
it was listed as a haunted pic so I decided to take a look at it just to see what it was and all about.

That and the fact that I'm working the midnight to 9 am shift at work and trying to find something to keep me awake.

                oh

I just typed that into google, and apparently it is 2 years old, but had caused quite a stir:

"Reports included people being violently ill or fainting, children screaming upon seeing the painting and observers being gripped by an 'unseen entity'."

"They said that whilst they had experienced nothing strange themselves, they had began receiving emails from people who had viewed the painting over the Internet.

The buyer said: "Experiences include an exorcist type of voice along with a blast of hot air like standing in front of an oven door.

"A new Epson printer that ate and mutilated page after page when the user tried to download images of the painting."

Heh, heres a link if it works: http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/unexplain...nting_01.shtml I was going to attach the pictures, but I cant figure out how to do that.....:-P

edit: it sold for a little over $1000.

Heh, this has just sparked a new interest with me. Now I'm gonna be up all night searching for freaky stuff online!

                    yeah

Well, after searching forever, I found an update to the painting:

"This painting, titled "Hands Resist Him", was painted by Bill Stoneham of Stoneham Studios. Below is what he has written on his site.

"Where to begin? Well I've always had a connection to what Carl Jung called the collective unconscious. I think we all do. Artists, especially visual artists, are barometers for the currents which run through this collective. Dreams are a common experience people may have with this. Anyway, my own experience is a sensitivity to place - physical, geographical place. There are memories, echoes of all the life within a place. Maybe it's what's called channeling. When I painted the Hands Resist Him in 1972, I used an old photo of myself at age five in a Chicago apartment. The hands are the 'other lives.' The glass door, that thin veil between waking and dreaming. The girl/doll is the imagined companion, or guide through this realm.

Both the owner of the Gallery where 'Hands' was displayed and the Los Angeles Times art critic who reviewed my show were dead within a year of the show.

I'm sure it was coincidence, but some of what I paint resonates in other people, opening the inner door, or basement. By the way I still have no idea what happened to the character actor (whose name escapes me) that bought the painting at the show, or how it ended up abandoned in a building, though I could speculate. - Bill"

                    The link: http://dawghouse.topcities.com/ebay.html
Not a really credible site though, but its all fun!

edit: oh, and I read that what the "doll" is holding is actually a battery. Looks like a gun though - like she's forcing the boy out of the painting. I'd post a pic of a good pic of it, but I cant figure out how!

edit 2: Ok, I found out how to post pics, so here they are for those too lazy to open the links (I am one of them, hehe)

                    And the nightime one:

                          ANOTHER HAUNTED PAINTING!!! "Striken Life"

Well, as you can see I have been having lotsa fun, and found another "haunted" painting. This is much more graphic, and has sad story to it .

Just so you know, it does say that is red paint, and not blood - I thought it was at first. There is apparently a screaming face within the paint, but I am having trouble seeing it...

It was on EBay apparently, but I can't seem to find it, so here is a link to a different site, quoting the original EBay one:

Ok, I am attempting to post a pic. Here goes :holds breath:

                          Clips from the story:

"Harold decided that he had had enough. Knowing that he had less than six months to live, and that Dolly would survive him by several years, and worried about who would take care of her, (they never had children, and all of their relatives had already passed on) he acted. He took a single-shot, twelve gauge shotgun that he had, and loaded it" -You'll have to read the story for the rest!

""SCRAPING THE SIDES, RUNNING THEN SLOWING TO A CRAWL-REAJUSTING (sic) THE PACE NUMEROUS TIMES REAPING AND SOWING THIS ROTTEN CROP. TRAFFIC SIGNS LEADING ME TO THE MESSIA (sic) OF RED LIGHTS. STRUCK BY A NOTION TO BURY THE LIVING AND SAVE THE DEAD..."" This is on the back of the painting!

"Our dog, Toby, was just sitting there and howling at the painting"

"Two days later, my wife woke me up screaming. She swore she had seen a woman at the end of the bed, in nightclothes, seated in a WHEELCHAIR. I got up to search the house. As I got close to the den, I heard the TV going. Thinking it was one of our kids, I went into the den. The TV was on, tuned into CNN"

"Since then, during the day, we occasionally hear a woman call out "honey" from the master bedroom, or furtive whispers from a vacant room. Sometimes at night, I am still awakened by the sound of a shotgun blast, and the TV turns on at various times of the day and night, tuned into CNN."

Just so you know, I dont believe in this stuff, but it's just so COOL!
But now, I better get to bed... and its dark... and late.... and the place I'm renting makes creepy sounds!

I think both of those paintings are pretty cool looking. Although haunted or not, I would not like them in my home. On that second one I was only able to read a few paragraphs but did they ever mention if that was real blood or not? You got to be pretty sick to hang a picture with someones blood on it in your house.

Nope, in the article it says that it is red paint.
