    Caring for your 'soft' gear...

Just curious, how do ya'll clean your 'soft gear'? I have a Redz 3.2 Pack w/Belt, DYE Rhino Tank Cover, Bike Gloves, etc. and washing them on the getnle cycle is fraying them.

    Thanks ~ Joneise

First I soak all that stuff in luke warm or even room temperature water to get the major dirt out. And then I wash it in the sink with woolite, (well my wife does) and then dry them in the dryer on a low heat. Works for me.

heh 8+1 pack. I took it to the car wash with me and cleaned it with those high-pressure washers heh.

        came out sparkling clean!

my current pack (4 vert or the 3 horiz) I take it out back and spray it down with the hose

I've never washed my pack or anything

My gloves I rinse out in the sink, it always amazes me how much dirt they can accumulate.

I never throw any of my stuff in the dryer. That's what seems to cause the majority of problems.

I have a Redz pack as well, and typicall what I do, is separate the belt from the pack. The pack itself you can soak and then just scrub out any trouble areas. The belt is a slightly different story. I typically use a bristle brush for this.

As for jerseys, I tend to wash them (gently and inside out) and then hang them dry.

I'm not under the alkafluence of inkahol that some thinkle peep I am. It's just the drunker I sit here the longer I get...

I definately DON'T put anything in the dryer, I hang them dry for a while...

Is that the top rack of the diskwasher, or the bottom?

              thanks ~ Jonesie

Top rack ... that way it gets the whole steam clean thing going on and then just let it air dry or use a blow dryer

I throw the pack in the washer, to dry I either leave it out, or throw it in a pillow case.

pick any dirt off and wipe paint off and stuff that has soaked in i get with a wet paper towel. it doesn't bother me if theres still some dirt or paint mashed in, it use it to carry extra paint, not make a fashion statement. if it does its job, its fine.

I've also never washed any of my packs. My gloves go in the washing machine along with my clothes.

Hand wash, drip dry...or if it's my pack (ER 3+2) I toss it on the patio and hose it down.
