People who have MP3 players, need help

For the people who have an MP3 player, I need some help on choosing one. I'm new to MP3 players, so I need advice also. How do you like yours? How's the sound? Is it easy to download from PC to the player? Is it hard to use, easy?

The one right now I'm strongly considering is the 530 irock! (from Radio Shack), link here http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=42%2D8037 I'm leaning towards it because it's got 128 MB which is what I was looking for and because it's price isn't very hefty. Anybody have any experience with this product or any other irock! brand item? Think I should spend maybe more to get a name brand one, or do you think this be fine?

Also, please share what kind of player you have and how you like it. Thanks!

I've got a MuVo. The thing is sweet. It's so small, there is no software needed to add songs to it. It just plugs into the usb port and acts like another drive. I only have the 64 meg one, and thats plenty for me. I dont listen to it for long periods of time. Just at the gym and going to class and stuff. The sound quality is ok. Nothing special. The headphones your using make a big difference. The ones it comes with are crap. If your looking for something small, easy, and reliable, this is it. They do make a 128 meg one, it's just a little more expensive. I got mine for 120 bucks the day it came out, I'm sure it's down in price now.

          Question for you gimp

Gimp, is this the kind you have except in 128 MB http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail.asp?m=...t=&e=11200669. About how many minutes of music do you get out of your 64MB? Also, you don't need any software at all? You just click and drag, like from Winamp or something? Does it take long for the downloads? Ever have any problems with yours? This one's catching me eye, and the price isn't bad. Thanks for the help!

Get either a CDRW based Mp3/CD player or if size is an issue go with minidisk.

With what you are looking at spending, you aren't getting a very nice Mp3 player (i.e. Zen or iPod) and besides the horribly small memory, I'd worry about the quality..

I have no need really for an ipod or Zen because I'm just looking for something to listen to my music on and just have at least 60 minutes worth of music. With the ones I've shown, I'd get at least 2 hours of music, so that's good for me. I'm not looking for the best here really, just something I can download my songs to. And I really have no need for the others because I would never need so much memory. I get tired of songs rather quick, so I figure when I just delete songs of my player and put new ones on when wanted.

There's also the issue of money. I really don't have $300 to spend on MP3 player, but if I did I'd consider the ipod. Also, just wondering irbodden, what have you heard about lowered priced MP3's players to say there not very good (I'm newer to them so what you say could make me just think of getting the Sony MiniDisc possibly).

I have a Kodak mp3 with a 128 meg card I bought seperately.. Right now I have about 13 songs and a bunch of pictures on it. Ok, I'll tell it to you strait.
                The speaker isnt too good...
The camera/video camera isnt too hot, but thats not what your using it for.
It does have a headphone jack, and it sounds fine when you have it plugged in.
Its got a base like all kodak cameras that is USB connected, and you jsut set it down on the base.
I cant remember how much it costs, but its somewhere around 100..
I like it, despite how I just described it. Its good for trips, cuz you can take pictures (well they look ok sometimes, it depends) and listen to good music..
I think the highest # mb in the flash card that comes with it is 64..

Get the iRiver 350 model Mp3/Cd player if you have a cd burner because you can have unlimited music, for compactness go for the same brand's mp3 player (64 mb I believe, they are NICE)

if you're gunna pay $130, get the Sony minidisc player. I think its the NZ-505 or something... it can put 5 hours of music onto one minidisc.

My truck is louder than yours. A lot louder.

                        Agreed.

Minidisk would be your best bet right now. Very small and ya can hold ALOT of music.

I bought a Rio MP3 player and it was great except for the small memory.

I switched to a Rio MP3 CD player and I wouldnt go back. Its a little extra size but the amount of music you can store on one CD is amazing (20-25 hours). Not to mention you can get one for much less then an MP3 player.

                            Questions on the Minidiscs

Now with a minidisc, can you erase discs you already have music on and rewrite over it? Is there some adapter or way to hook it up to my home stereo? Is this a good Minidisc player http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=...t=61&scat=248. Thanks for the help.
