    Good car forums?

does anyone know a good messege board based on automotives? I am having a problem with my Nissan Pulsar. It seems like everytime i push down on the clutch pedal to disengage the clutch, the engine RPMS just go up all the way upto 3.5 and sometimes 4. After the vehicle is at a complete stop at a light or something, the slowly drops down. Also it accelerates itself from time to time which i think is caused by the same problem. Now, i'm not machanic but i think it has something to do with whatever controls the amount of fuel being burnt in the engine. I have to admit, the car hasn't been drivin for a while so perhaps some spring is rusted up or something to that nature?

anyways, if any machanics here can help me or if someone can provide a good auto forums, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Good site with clutch information!

**Ok just spoke to my dad, he says it could be many things: 1.) If the car has electronic cruise control, and there is a link between the clutch and the cruise control (to disengage cruise like if you tap the brake) then there could be a dirty or bad connection. 2.) If the clutch linkage is old the cable could be stretching, which would not fully disengage the flywheel, which would cause friction and the engine to rev. 3.) Some other electrical problem causeing false signals to be sent to the trottle body which, like you said, can cause incresed fuel flow.

So basically, you have to take it to a shop good luck!!

Well i know it dosn't have cruise control cuz its a '86 model.

heh taking my car to the shop is not an option for me. I barely work anymore which meends no green blang blang. And they like to fix every small problem you have to increase the bill, but i'll figure it out eventually.

my dad says most likely the throttle thats getting stuck. Is this controlled by a spring or something? if it is, it might need some l00bin.

sweeeet! but its down . BTW i think my problem is the throttle spring needs to be lubed or something because since i havn't driven for some time before i encountered this problem so the springs are probably a little crusty.
