    Chemical Question

I heard if you mix hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) with a certain type of metal the Hydrogen will seperate from the oxygen and form great amounts of pressure, I was wondering what type of metal it was.

i don't know of any metal that will do that but i know if you mix H2O2 with catalase(an enzyme found in liver) it will separate into water and oxygen

it would have to be a metal higher then hydrogen on the activity series, like zinc or lead. i dont think it would create alot of pressure though, cause whenever a single replacement reaction happens it just swaps one element in a bond with another. so if you mixed peroxide with zinc it would just form zinc oxide and hydrogen(gas). i'm not exactly sure though cause it's been awhile since i've studied chem.
