      Im sorry

To those who are bashing on him cause he said he hates cops: Did you NOT pick up what he said about the difference between police officers and cops? I know what he is talking about. Spraying mango, the cops that SERVE and PROTECT you are the ones shooter is refering to as "police officers". Obviously cops who didnt show up to a car break in and theft arent serving you.

Second, you have to be not telling us something, because the police would always come out to help. If you call them, they HAVE to come out. It's what they do. I'm also sorry that you hate people who take a vow to serve and protect YOU, to risk thier own life for YOU, the person that hates them with a passion...

Your character and maturity level shine through there...
Wow. For now I'll rate your final comment as a knee-jerk reaction to something you misread and misinterpreted.

You seem to have missed my distinction between Police Officers (those who protect and serve) and "Cops". I cordially invite you to reread the last two sentences of the first post. However, I'll explain a bit more.

Police officers (AKA good officers) are not corrupt. They follow the law and exercise judgment to keep everyone as safe as possible. They place their lives on the line every day and are thanked with a crappy salary, bad hours, and widespread dislike. That's why I donate money every year to the Fraternal order of Police officers and various denver police organizations that help officers out when they're going through hard times. I'm also friends with many officers. They're men and women of good character who aren't on a continual power trip.

"Cops" (AKA bad cops or bad officers) on the other hand are corrupt, racist, shiftless, powertripping, lazy complainers. They hide behind the authority their badge gives and offer no support to the community.

Now I like to imagine the Police officer to cop ratio is quite high. Most of the department are good people. But if you're trying to tell me cops don't exist you're sadly mistaken.

Now. To the next point. I must have left something out.....yes I did. Two other cars parked along the same street were broken into as well. No officers of the law were dispatched for those owners either. We've all complained and are going to issue a formal complaint. The reason I personally was given, was "Well, you don't have a suspect or anything so it's useless for us to send an officer to the scene. Here's your case number, just give that to your insurance." That's it. The insurance adjuster is supposed to come out today.

CRog075 - Your laughing at the fact that I had a ton of stereo stuff stolen and my car vandalized? Not to mention my computer lost/stolen by a fedex mistake? I can only hope that someday soon some lowlife steals thousands of dollers worth of stuff from you and perhaps even treats you to a flamethrower enema. I too could use a good laugh.

Yes, I have insurance. But the company isn't sure what they'll cover. They're checking to see. They're claiming the stuff stolen isn't covered by renters insurance or auto insurance, but can't seem to point to any actual documentation that states that!

Now. Hopefully that clears up my feelings on Police Officers, Cops and the distinction between the too. I also would like to see no further comments about my character and maturity which are unfounded. (well, I'll agree the flamethrower enema comment was a tiny bit immature, but you have to admit, it WAS pretty funny!)

          EDITED TO ADD ADDITIONAL DEFINITIONS.

I didn't know there was a difference between being a Cop and being a Police Officer. In my area we just say there are good cops and bad cops.

Still, that is pretty beat that they didn't send out an officer. That wouldn't happen in my area. We have many great police departments here (In South Jersey) with few bad cops. Sure they are out there, but they make up a small %.

Ah, yeah, I kinda figured this might just be a question of semantics.

Well it could be a regional thing. Police officer is a term of respect while "cop" is usually preceded by a word that rhymes with "duckin" and would get me banned. If ya know what I'm saying! Same thing as "good cop" and "Bad cop".

Yeah, like I said we're filing a formal complaint. There aren't too many bad cops, but it sucks when you run into one.

Now my question comes in as to can you really blame the "cops" in this scenario when the person you called was most likely a dispatcher and NOT the actual officer that would have come? Perhaps you should say it was a bad dispatcher?

We too have "good cop" / "bad cop" in my area. It's pretty much everywhere, some places just more noticeable then others.

Yeah could be. I called the department line and was transferred to front desk who transferred me about three other places. Finally an officer somebody or other answered and filled out a report over the phone. Gave me the case number, etc. I really don't know if it was a dispatcher or not, but I assumed an officer was an officer. Who knows.

It would appear, from a conversation with my friend who's on the police department in a neighboring city, that most departments in the state have a very low opinion of my city's police department. His recomendation was to get out of town and try not to deal with them.
