Umm... what's wrong with steam?

I have a question about the shield. On one site it said it came with a Five seveN, but could you buy another USP and toss the FiveseveN and still have the shield?

USP pwns all other pistols combined.

And the Galil is Israeli, not Italian. It may look the same as the AK, but its higher quality and should have better accuracy.

One more thing, glock damage was supposed to be upgraded. Is it better than a peashooter now? I hate having to waste money on a USP or deagle when I play as T on the first round.

I haven't played much 1.6, but the glok feels a lot more accurate. Not at all sure about damage tho. You can have whatever you want with the shield. I don't think it comes with anything. If you have a USP, you use it. You can get any of the other pistols as well. I have not tried picking up dulies with it tho.

Oh, ok. The 1.6 info I read a while back said you got a FiveseveN with the price of the shield.

I'd rather use a USP than a FiveseveN anyway, I've been on a USP / Para kick lately. Nothing spells lovin' like 300 rounds

Now, I know a lot of people berate "camping," but it is a perfectly legit strategy when you are left playing a 1 on 6.

But, to get back to where this ties in with the para. I was playing a 1 on 6, on one of the older maps (the one with the toilets that looked like the James Bond missle silo map) and splurged on a para.

Through careful combinations of stealth and massive firepower, yes you too can win against massive odds.

Camping is part of the game, but not excessive ammounts. Ts should not camp on bomb (de_*) maps. CTs should not camp on hostage (cs_*) maps. If you are all alone, and hurting, just go out for a suicide charge. The rest of your team will appreciate being able to play again. All just IMHO.

It's a team based game, I can't stand people who camp to save their gun. The objective is more important than your AWP.

Once I got banned from a server because I was playing T on Dust, and the bomb carrier was AWPing under the bridge while we rushed the tunnels. I ran back, shot the bomb carrier in the head since he wouldn't give me the bomb, and took it to the bombsite.

Admin banned me for "intentional TK".

I don't play well with non-team players. Heh.

But as for the para, me and my brother were playing the other day, the name of the map escapes me (the de map were the one bombsite is inside and theres water in it, and the other one is outside by some pillars. Theres an overturned SWAT truck on the map, CTS start on a crumbled rooftop nearby.)

In any case, we both got paras. 8 on 8, I got 4 kills he got 3. The T rush ran into twin paras, it was funny as hell.

Also, have you ever played a custom map called playground_x? There's a huge tower in the middle, and wooden towers and bridges all over. If you get a para up there you can keep the other team ducking all over because the tower has a clear view of the whole map.

Heh, I wouldn't have banned you. I would have kicked the lame camper. Or slayed, that's a lot of fun too. Thordic, you should hop by my server. The admins keep a pretty tight reigh on things, and focus on team work.

Since Steam doesnt seem to have the beta up for dl anymore does anyone know where else i can get it? I am really itching to try the shield and other new stuff.

If they took it down, it's for the best that you do not try to join in on the beta at this point. When Valve is ready for new users, they will put up an installer again.

Dude no way USP wrecks up on all other pistols. Hell you can usually wreck someone with an AK if you are decent.

search the steam forum and you might find a link there still thats how i did. also i was playing this one place where it was 747 man people were pissed when i ran in with a shield because they dump a clip on me trying to get one of the luck shots that hit you in the head then i put it to the side blocking the other guys shots and shoot the guy in the head with a desert eagle while hes reloading. sometimes you can take over 20 awp shots before getting hit(getting the window is the weak part) so on dust i take out the shield and jump around while my awps blast them lol while the ts try to nail me. also if you got good aim i like the deagle better than usp however usp is the 2nd best imo

I agree but they knew hundreds of people were awaiting its release they should of already had it past its beta stages before the release of 1.6. That was a very bad move on their part, but if you are patient enough it will work.

But no it is $500 cheaper so i have no reason to beleive the damge is greater or more accurate. To me it seems to have slightly more recoil but something about it makes me happy. I still favor the AK.

No the sheild comes with no pistol so u can use your USP but you can NOT use the silencer on it. I have not tried using 3 rnd burst tho. If u screw on silencer and get shield it unscrews it.
