Yes, just get basic HL, once you got that you have every HL mod there is (when you download it - AKA CS, DPB, DOD, TS, FA, everything, HL is amazing to have its like a gateway to many other great games)

the eR33t server isn't full of newbs, they are pretty good...and I was on a good streak . It was crazy, cause I hate that map, but once I get used to if I can get a lot of kills.

I also have the counter strike cd rom. So do I load Opposing Forces from the Platinum pack and then just download dp to its directory???

no, and you can't do it with the retail version of counter-strike either (iirc). you need a version of half life which you goto sierra and patch to the latest version, then install the dpb mod.
