Hence why ya never use 2nds in cold weather with ANY 'fast' shooting gun.

The only time I used 2nds without a problem was with my Spyder back in the day. For $30 a case, it was a great deal since they shot fairly well.

I've run about 12 cases through my mag since I got LvL 10, and I've only had about 4 breaks, but anybody who thinks that LvL10 completely eliminates ball breaks, is mistaken. Plus, using old paint is probably the explanation.

*EDIT* This should really be in Paintball Talk

yea dude paint is one of the most important and least expensive things in paint ball. not cheap, but to go from a real crappy case to a real nice case is about 20 bucks so pony up the dough and shoot like a champ

Yeah, getting a few breaks is expected when you're using seconds with any gun that shoots fast, especially when you're playing in cold weather. The last weekend I played I probably had about 30 breaks with my lvl 10. Shooting old 1-2 bounce Worr paint that was was about a month old with a few broken balls in the bag wasn't entirely good but hey I only paid $40 for a case and most of the breaks were in the barrel so i wasn't that mad. Plus for being old it shot pretty decent when I didn't have paint oozing out of my barrel.

I shot a few bags of 4 month old Hot Spot that broke from a few feet above the floor in 45-50ish degrees yesterday... zero breaks/chops/mess.

old paint + cold weather = breaks, even with level 10

wow, attitudes sure have changed in the last 3 or 4 months about LX, i can remember when LX was the next invincible anit chop system, now i see where some chops are to be expected and people telling others that paint is the most important part, but if it suppose to stop on your tounge then the paint shouldnt matter, and in the demos it would stop on 1 bounce paint.

well welcome to the world of paintball, not always are guns tuned to the exact standards of lab testing

                            lol

yea...these 2nds sucked hard core...u could be stiiing in a chair fillin yur pods and it would crack in the bottom of the pod, very bad paint it was warm and cold all day, makes the seams on the shells weak, but yea...i got that vid of the tounge thing, and ive done it, lol and its nuts, but like sneaky said "old and cold dont mix" in this case very old

if you really want to prefectly tune the level 10, after around 3 cases or so of use, re-tune everything, and take the longest spring, and clip it down until your gun shoots at the FPS that you need, that will make it the REALLY soft on any paint
