Check out the version on "Little Wing" done for the Jimi Hendrix tribute, with SRV, Clapton, Van Halen, Jimmy Page, and others. I love that song. As for guitarists, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Stevie Ray Vaughan are gods, as are Clapton, Page, and Van Halen. There's also a rather young guy playing for a band called Jag Panzer named Chris Broderick, and he does some stunning metal stuff. www.jagpanzer.com , download some of it, very cool.

Question: why does it say "he sucked though" in my post even though I didnt say that originally?

And no, Eddie didnt suck. FAAARR from it. Just listen to his solos, considering thats his own writing, its damn good.

oops, that was my message regarding Van Hallen. Sorry.

Van Hallen was nothing special at all..

What makes you say that? He was quite innovative, at lest judgeing by the millions of people emulating his style.

I have always liked The Edge from U2 as well.

ok ok, im talking about guitar leads, not players, like my choice was november rain lead by guns n roses, im not talking about the band, but the song that the lead was in.

Ok, I know its a WAY different type of music (I'm not into the big Hair band things..) but I LOVE the intro to "Rock the Casbah" by The Clash... now you had better not say anything bad about the clash... or else...
