Eh this is probably going to be closed but I figure I'd get my shots in before it does.
I really think going to war with Iraq is an overall bad Idea. Almost every country in the WORLD believes that the US shouldn't go to war with Iraq yet. The global perception is the US is just attacking Iraq for the oil. Alot of countries over in Europe and the middle east already dislike the US, this war will only make matters worse.
The UN inspectors can stay in Iraq as long as they want but they'll never find anything worth going to war over. If Bush really did have solid evidence on Iraq he would have showed by now too.
Honestly what are we going to war over?

This isn't about oil... it's about oil to the French. But for the US.. it's not about oil.. never has been. If you think it is, maybe you should research some.
From the Start this has been about Iraq breaking a treaty. He has been breaking it for 12 years now. It's not that this is about finding weapons... we know he has them. This is about finding the proof that he has destoryed them.
It's about time to rid him of theses weapons. We have already found proof that he has the weapons "nukes/bio/chems" The world knows he has the weapons.
The French are worried that they will lose the oil contracts, and others are worried that we will find proof of the dealing with Iraq .. giving chems weapons to them .. etc...
That's what it sums up to. SO if you want to say oil and make yourself look like another brainwashed American... then that's your choice, but do some reasearch first.The MOOSE is LOOSE!

I think going is the right idea, I'd love to see UN backing, but its not going to happen.
Every day we wait to go is another day for Saddam to sell his weapons to terrorists.
I'd love to go over there, kick butt and then find the stockpile of weapons we know he has. Lets see how long it takes France to get their foot out of their mothes after we find that!

Even if theyre telling the truth, and they dont have weapons(which I dont believe)...they still havnt followed the resolution. 1441 calls for COMPLETE, TOTAL, FULL cooperation with UN. I can list 10 different things Iraq has done that dont qualify as any of those things. Whats hte point of threatening Iraq...but then letting them off when they disobey? Its the UN saying "we have no power, we have no care to enforce what we say. We are weak"Comment

Aziz said the missiles exceeded the range by less than six miles and only because they lacked guidance systems. He said they do not pose a threat that would warrant their destruction.
"They should not be destroyed because they are practically within the range we are allowed to have," he said. "It would be quite unfair and unacceptable by any scientific and security standards ... Destruction should be based on a reason, a reason linked with questions of security and peace."
