AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
ive got one thats 4 feet long and almost 6 inches wide. its gona up a hole in my roof when it falls.... i would take a picture but *gasp* i dont know how to post them! hahahhehehehe wooo im bored im staying home from school cuz i have a lung infection.....
lol thats nothing
when I was in Wisp mountain in Maryland (I dont know the name of the actual town) they had icicles that went from teh roof all the way to the ground (a tall roof too) and it was at least a foot thick. That was the biggest I saw, but there were plenty of others you could play around with, like 4 foot few inch thick ones always fun
Well, There has been an icicle hanging from my roof that has been there since November. It's about 4 feet long and grows every time it snows. Right now it is about 6 or 7 inches in diameter at the thickest. I would take a pic but I don't have a digicam.
Pics latter.. my mom took the digital camera with her all day today..
It goes from the top of our house, to where it is stoped by a rock on the ground. (Only a one story building..but you can imagine how tall that is) 6 feet, at least.. (rock is a few feet tall)
To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered
where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus,
and a clown killed my dad.
oh... thats nothing man... too bad we dont have icicles here :o
...but 2 years ago up at my grandpas house in sister bay, WI, there was an icicle that was 11 feet long... from the top of his first story porch roof to the ground below it, was that huge arse 11 foot-high, 1 foot wide icicle
omfg was it sweet, i hit it and kicked it and i wouldnt even crack or move... it was so freakin sweet!!!
maybe i have some pics in the family album of me next to it... if i find one i'll scan & post it
My grandparents house gets them from the roof to the ground (about 7 feet). I wanted to try to get one loose, but it wouldn't break!!! Now it was personal.... I went and got a sledge hammer, and yes it did eventually break -- right in the middle. Then the top half fell, pulling the face board that it(and about a dozen other shorter icicles) were hanging from crashing to the ground.
I did what every other 12 year old who had just damaged the house would have done. I dried and put back the hammer and acted surprised when told about the damage. I think grandpa was suspicious, but I never got in trouble for it.
Now I live where few people Have ever seen an icicle.
When I was in Oregon 20 years ago, we drove up the Gorge on the north side of the river, to the Dalles.
Where the cliffs would slightly overhang the road, huge 5-10 foot thick icicles would be hanging down 15-20-30 feet down off the rocks where small springs dribbled out of the cracks. I used to have a bunch of pics, but lost them a long time ago
