Guys, dont drink and drive

While surfing around the internet, a friend sent me a link to a dont drink and drive site... At first I thought it was going to be another poem, or another "so and so died at the young age of whatever" but this I have never seen, and never realized happened. I have never driven while under the influence (still dont have my full liscense!) but never imagined things like this actually happen when the people in accidents dont die.

wow.. one of my close friends died in a car accident involving a drunk driver.. "guys, dont drink and drive" is an understatement.. nobody should ever drink and drive.... <b>EVER</b>

I bet about 50% of the ppl that look at this thread drink regulary and say "getting hammers never hurt anyone". Pry about 10% of those drink and drive and just shruged it off.

Let me be the first to to hand out the "Moron" award to ANYONE who drinks in public. You make yourself look like and idiot in public, spend tons of money on the stuff, wake up in the morning with a hangover loose your license, not to mension the amount of times you did something stupid and got hurt and then of course the ppl you hurt around you.

According to a study I got in my social problems class, on a study of 17,096 college students and binge drinking, 12% of students admitted to driving after having 5 or more drinks (about 60% admitted to driving after consuming any alcohol). Almost double that admitted to getting in a car with someone who was drunk or high.

Thats just in the 30 days prior to the study.

its called sarcasm.


The point being....drinking and driving is responsible for a lot of dead (or disfigured) innocent people, yet we are constantly bombarded with beer and alcohol commercials.
