Finally, after all these years, a laptop.

After using computers for 10 years, and 5 computers later, I finally decided to get a laptop. It's a completely awesome Titanium Powerbook G4. Cost me mucho dinero but I need it for school. Always been a PC person myself, but had to get a Mac because The University of Texas School of Education sold out to Apple, so that is what we have to get. Thought to my self "If I'm gonna get a Mac, better make it worth it." Either way, this is an awesome computer.

    Here are the specs:

    15.2-inch TFT Display
    1280x854 resolution
    1GHz PowerPC G4
    1MB L3 cache
    512MB SDRAM
    60GB Ultra ATA/66
    SuperDrive
    ATI Mobility Radeon 9000
    64MB DDR video memory
    Gigabit Ethernet
    FireWire 400
    AirPort built-in
    Bluetooth optional
    DVI & S-Video out

    awesome
I used to hate macs, but the OSX made it more worth it, and I especially love the true plug and play and the firewire

Welcome to the sensible side of computers!
That computer does rock, my cousin has one. Makes me wanna drool! My eMac is awesome too, but I really wanna get a Powerbook! And OSX is so great, you can have countless applications open, even on a powerbook. Here's a screenshot from my eMac. Look at the dock!

*EDIT* No Photoshopping was done, all I did was black out my name and serial number. Can't have that floating around!

        Nice Powerbook.

I moved from my old powermac to an iBook back in November and I don't think I will ever go back to a desktop.

        DSL + 802.11b + iBook = Bliss

well for years now microsoft has been slowly stealing the osx. Win xp is virtually osx with a paintjob. Mac is in every way better then pc with only 2 exceptions.
it's not AS upgradeable with newly release technologies as they become availible and it doesn't play counterstrike. Until it does I'm going to keep my PC

Oh yeah and linux/unix/freeBSD beats osx to death

HaHa!!! Thanks man! I actually ran out of applications to open. My cousin did the same thing on his powerbook G4, but he had 155 processes. EEK. My comp wasn't even running that slow, considering I had 3 different browsers open, and playing iTunes music at the same time. Bwahahahahaaa....

BTW Heat, I'm pretty sure that OSX is unix based. Unless I missd something....

Yeah, that's a pretty nice setup you got there. I've never been a big fan of macs either even though I have to do all my image editing, audio and video classes on them. All my audio and video friends at the Art Institute are always trying to get me to get a mac but I won't even consider one until there are mac version of 3dsmax and Maya out for them.
