OK - I updated the forum rules - there have been a handful of changes and a few things spelled out. EVERYONE go to the link and reveiw it! You are responsible for knowing and obeying the rules.

After I post this I am turning off sig IMG tags and HTML. This should kill all sig images. I will turn them on starting MONDAY. So you have all weekend to work on your new image. When we turn it back on, we expect everyone to have corrected thier sig.

Here is how we are going to handle this:
Starting monday we will only look at new posts. (people who havent been here for a month probably wont have thier sig corrected.) If your sig is too big, we will delete it and put "sig too big" in there instead. Then you can fix it to be within the guidelines.

If we cant get you guys to play within the rules, we are just going to get rid of them all together.

So -thats it - if you have questions, post them here or email me directly.

What are you using to determine size? The GIF file takes up 13KB on disk, but it is 53223 bytes when unpacked by Microsoft Photo Editor. So, is my sig image okay (size wise) or is it WAY to big?

gifs are not compressed like jpgs are. So when you save it and it says 13k in the file properites, its good to go!

Think you could add a clause that states that any signature type images must be in the sig, and not attached/linked individually to each message. I for one like no sigs, and get very fustrated when people attach or link to the image outside the sig.

HTML WILL be back Monday. Sorry I had to kill it -but if I didnt those that used HTML for their IMGs would show up - and the others wouldnt and then peopel would think that something was wrong because some peopel had images and some didnt.
