Well it is now official... I hate my Friends...

I mean, now they've stooped to a new low...

    Backstory first:
I got myself into debt. With college books and tuition, I was down about $500 in the hole... $300 to my parents for helping me with tuition (ya gotta love em! ), and $200 to my credit card company for paying for my books. 6 months ago my friends and I began planning a trip to California for Spring break to pursue our other obsession... Playing cards. Yep... a poker-holic here, Texas Holdem, Omaha, 7 stud... we play em all... One of the regular guys we play with is from Cali, has a house there, and lives close to an Indian Reservation Casino where you only have to be 18 to play... So we figure, why not? free room and board, and we get to get our first shot at casino action!

So for other reasons mentioned (like I didn't need the firepower etc...) I decide to sell my SFL E-Mag. It was going to help pay my debt, but mostly fund the trip to California. So I sell it. I get a little screwed, but I'm not too worried about it. I have money, I have no debt, I have a paintball gun (part of the deal), and I'm ready for Cali! WHOO!

That was twp weeks ago. Why oh why did I not wait just TWO WEEKS! I knew the SFL would sell fast, I could have waited the DAY before we left and still had cash by the morning... We find out this week that the guy giving us free room and board can't do it. Its his parents house, and they are having people over that week... doh... on top of that, one of the three guys that was going to go had to drop out... he couldn't find a job in time to save up for the funds... doh... and my other friend who wanted to go isn't because he doesnt want a two man road trip (three was BARELY cutting it) and pay for a place to stay now. So now I've sold the best paintgun anyone could ever hope to own (in my opinion) for basically nothing.

Of course there are plusses here too. With my SFL, it would have been at least 4-6 or so months before I could play again. I would of had to pay off the debt from my paycheck, where I get about $100 every two weeks... working retail this time of year blows. After thats done, I still would of had to save up for a nitrogen tank, and they aint cheap neither. at least not for the size I wanted. Plus getting the debt paid off is a good thing... all the money I make now is MINE!

But it still sucks to lose the spring break road trip...
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

Sorry ,but that makes you sound like a idiot for selling it for a weekend card game.

Honestly, he had some debt, and he wouldn't be able to actually play for alonggg time.. what's the point of having a great gun, being in debt and NOT being able to afford to play?

You're acting like SFLs just never come up for sale, I have seen 3 for sale in the last two monthes.

Now, he even says he couldn't afford to play for 4-6 MONTHES due to debt. He has plenty of time to make the money to buy another SFL if he can afford one...

I play cards at least 2 times a week for the last 3 years... its no "weekend" card game for me... in fact I make quite a bit at it (sometimes), its what even got me into paintball... a few guys we know met at the game started playing and eventually got us all into it...

Oh, and I'm quite happy with the way things turned out... I mean, I don't have a SFL, but I've said numerous times before... it was just going to waste here... SFL's are happy little guns that like to shoot lots of paint, and other people. Over here, he only would have got about 500 rounds every week or two, shooting at tippies and spyders. That makes SFL's sad. SFL is happy now, in Central Ohio. As long as SFL is happy, I am happy

I just didn't like the fact that they cancelled a trip I had been planning on and looking forward to for the last 6 or so months...
