Introduction to Bollywood

Bollywood = India Hollywood.

I like a lot of Indian movies... such as Mohabbatein http://www.yashrajfilms.com/mohabbatein/ and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. http://www.yashrajfilms.com/archive/kuch/

They're both love stories... I'm a sucker when it comes to romantic films. They are very colorful, have neat little musicals, great story lines. Makes you laugh, makes you cry...

I was introduced to these movies by a friend, and have become a Bollywood fan ever since. Luckily, they have English sub-titles.

When I first watched Titanic last year, it very much reminded me of a Bollywood (Indian) style of story line.
I have to wonder if they took some ideas from Bollywood.

If you like Titanic/good love stories, I highly suggest finding a copy of one of these movies. I've yet to show these movies to someone who didn't really like them.

You'd love to live where I do then Miscue.
We pick up Canadian tv, and one station does 3 hrs. of Bollywood every saturday morning. Between movies, they do interviews with the stars, actor bio's, on location stuff, etc...

You just barely saw Titanic last year??!! Holy geez, man! For someone who likes chick-flicks, I figure you would've seen it @ the theatre...
