Raving [how to?]

I've been popping for 2 years, my friends call me the "master"

trust me, It will take a while till you do it good.

I have this old cd, "bomb hip-hop" and it's got many great tracks that just get you popping.

What combonations do you do? Freestyle or pre planned or both?

man, i wish i could bboy again... but i've been sitting around in hip hop for too long... I FORGOT HOW TO SIX STEP!!!! sad huh?

(note: when I say forgot I mean my legs are too six step retarded to do it)

well I have a few pre-planned moves/routines...

but usually I just bust out, flow, free it, you should do little pre-planned stuff, cause usually the crowd likes it better when you make up some cool looking moves that flow really well with the music.

I only have one problem that I have been practicing like mad lately.... I can not balance on my left foot very well. I find the feet moves very important, and it's annoying cause I can only use my left foot as a pivot and usually when im airwalking I can only go in circles since I'm limited to my right foot for balance.

oh.. and how do you forget how to 6-step?

ha, me and my friends used to do that, I bust out the glow sticks occasionaly at parites and such. It's always fun

Geez, I remember when all of this was popular the first time it came around, like '82-'86...parachute pants with a bazillion zippers, cardboard to spin on, and really crappy music. Do you guys strike a pose and hold it for a few seconds when you finish? That's how they used to do it back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Remember when the only time you could buy glowsticks was at Halloween? Crack them open and fling the filling around the room and turn the lights off--it's fun. Well, it used to be, like 10 years ago...

How do you airwalk in circles? I can do the backslide-ish thing (usually known as the moonwalk). Anyone know how to teach those moves?

I can airwalk ok... I don't move in circles but I'm not very fluid. It's basicaly heel/toe side stepping while sliding.. (i hope that explaination works)

thats how I also learned to pop and airwalk.

get kazaa, and download lots of vids. Usher can move.... and just search for "moonwalk" and "popping" I found LOTS of good stuff.

yep, that's how I learned too... I watched people battle at events, I watched videos of battles at events, I watched battles at dances, watched my friends practice... yeah...
